What is Arise?
Arise is a ministry of weekly prayer for the children and youth of Westminster. We take this name "Arise!" from Lamentations 2:19:
“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children who faint from hunger at every street corner.”
Our children face many trials in our sin-sick world and we believe the first step to ministering to our children is to pray for them!
