Westminster Staff

Owen Stepp joined the Westminster staff in October 2020. He has a calling to cultivate Christ-centered community where all people are invited to meet Jesus, grow in His likeness, and engage in His mission. He and his wife Carolyn met in Atlanta and it was there that God blessed them to become the parents of Anna Kate, Charlie, and Sarah. In his free time, Owen enjoys sports, travel, and sharing good barbecue with family and friends.

Tamara Park Walters is overjoyed to journey with the Westminster community. She revels in coming alongside others—to encourage authentic and vibrant relationships with God, each other and the broader world. So, she’s very grateful to get to focus on spiritual formation, community-building and service here at WPC. 

She’s energized by hearing people stories, traveling and being in nature…and she loves a good dance party in the kitchen and nerding out on neuroscience. She is newly married to Jamie Walters and is discovering what it means to be a bonus mom to four incredible young people. 

She looks forward to getting to know you more—and would be delighted to have coffee, lunch or a walk with you soon!

Leslie Dibble has been a part of the Westminster family for over 36 years and has served as the associate pastor since 2009. She has recently transitioned into a part-time role focused on the “Third Third” (the Renaissance years) of the congregation. This part time role will enable Leslie to spend more time with her growing family. As a pastor, Leslie feels called to help people seek and experience God in all facets of everyday life, and to participate in our life together in Christ. Leslie and her husband, Parkes, have two married daughters, Hollister (Marcus) and Hannah (Reid), three beautiful granddaughters, Mary Reid, Parkes, and Caroline, and another grandchild on the way! Leslie enjoys reading, golfing, hiking, family time, and playing with her two dogs, Ellie and Emma.

Sara Terrell joined the Westminster staff in October 2024. She is passionate about vibrant worship that engages the whole community of God and invites us into curiosity about what God is up to in His larger story. At WPC, she is delighted to focus on collaborative musical and creative worship arts that pour out of our relationships with God and each other. She loves good conversation, making things, and the incredible variety of God's creation. She would love to get to know you better!

Jennifer Boyd joined the Westminster team with 15 years of experience in counseling both children and families. She's passionate about reaching children with the message of Jesus. She and her husband, Jason have five children and two cuddly dogs.

Susan Hemphill joined the Westminster Team in 2022. She has one daughter who is married and has one grand kitty. You’ll find her walking the greenways enjoying nature. She also enjoys working in her flower beds and watching the birds in her yard. Committed to serving others in need, she is a Stephen Minister. She is also active in her church, Myers Park United Methodist, where she is a member of the Administrative Board.

Esteban Barrera joined the Westminster team in 2021. He is married to Hannah, and they joyfully welcomed their daughter, Josie, in 2021, and second daughter, Ellie, in 2023. In addition to A/V work, Esteban enjoys playing piano and basketball.

Nancy White moved from Oregon to Charlotte in 2014 to be closer to family. In joining our team, she brought 15 years of church secretary experience!

David Jenkins joined the Westminster team in 2021. He and his wife Nikia have been blessed to raise four children. In his free time, David enjoys basketball, fishing, and grilling!
