I Am 24/7

Operating just down the street in Grier Heights, I AM 24/7 serves young men (elementary through high school) utilizing spiritual development, academic tutoring, Bible study, along with soccer and basketball instruction. The ministry also helps meet basic needs of the community, by providing food, clothing, transportation, and mentoring to help individuals reach their God given potential.

agape christian counseling

Agape Christian Counseling provides counseling services to the Charlotte community. One area of service is working with Survivors of Human Trafficking. Westminster provides scholarship funds to help pay for counseling services for these survivors.

The barnabas center

The Barnabas Center is a nonprofit, nondenominational, Christ-centered counseling, training, and teaching ministry with locations in Charlotte, Davidson, and the Triad. Barnabas encourages people by coming alongside them, entering into their daily struggles, and walking with them toward freedom through individual and couple counseling sessions, through counselor-facilitated groups, and through various seminars, conferences, and retreats that guide participants toward an authentic relationship with God and more meaningful relationships with people.

Search Ministries – Charlotte specializes in creating small group environments for spiritually hungry people to explore reasons for faith, and ultimately pointing them toward Christ. Search meets people wherever they are on their spiritual journey… some still exploring, others taking their first steps, and others who are committed to helping their friends understand the truth they have personally experienced.

UNC-Charlotte International Campus Connections

International Campus Connections (led by Ellen Coble) creates community for international students at the UNCC campus, and connects them with new friends from local churches to help the students adjust to life in Charlotte and experience American traditions. It's a fantastic opportunity to experience international ministry right here in Charlotte. Learn more here

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity works in local communities across all 50 states and in more than 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s work is focused on building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families to provide more accessible decent and affordable housing. Westminster cooperates with Charlotte Church Partners to build 1-2 houses each year in the fall providing workers and on-site support.

Changed Choices is a local non-profit Christian corporation that works with currently and recently incarcerated women to empower them to achieve lasting, positive change through programming and personalized mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual support.

Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center

Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center is serving the women of our community with pregnancy-related support and care. They are located on East 4th Steet, up the road from Westminster, and we are privileged to support their vital work. See their website (myqcprc.com) for more information.

Roof Above

Westminster continues to partner with Roof Above by providing a breakfast and a dinner at the Howard Levine Men’s Shelter. With volunteers from Westminster, we can serve the needs of men in our community in less fortunate situations. See their website (roofabove.org) for more information.

Urban Promise Charlotte

UrbanPromise Charlotte’s mission is to provide Charlotte’s children and youth with the spiritual, academic, and social development necessary to become Christian leaders determined to restore their communities. See their website (urbanpromisecharlotte.org) for more information.

Young Life South Charlotte, Urban, and Capernaum

Westminster supports several ministries of YoungLife in Charlotte, including the South Charlotte, Urban, and Capernaum ministries. The South Charlotte ministry has a presence at 16 high schools and middle schools, while Urban focuses its ministry at inner-city schools in West and North Charlotte. YoungLife Capernaum shares the love of Jesus with young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities all across the Charlotte region. Learn more here
