God invites each of us into His life in Christ, no matter our age. The vision of our Third Third ministry is to engage, encourage, and equip (E³) covenant partners of Westminster who are in, or entering into the “third season” of life (60+ years). My prayer is that this ministry would foster fellowship and community to those who participate, and that through learning together and from one another, we might continue to experience full, fruitful, and faithful lives as we respond to God’s call on our lives.
Dear Third Third Friends-
My hope and prayer is that each of you experienced God’s presence in real and meaningful ways during Holy Week and the Easter Season. What hope and peace is ours through this gift of bearing witness to and living into the Resurrection. Our next and final Third Third gathering (for this season) will be Sunday May 18 at 5:30 in Beard Hall. The teaching will be a brief re-cap of the first five teachings that culminate into the new narratives that should guide us as we enter into life eternal. We are called to “abide in Christ as Christ abides in us” to the very end of life as we know it on this earth. I will also give a brief preview of the next series for the Fall of 2025 which will focus solely on Purpose and Calling in the Third Third of life, as well as suggest some ways for folks to connect this summer. The dinner will again be catered by Passion Food Catering and will include a great salad, pulled chicken BBQ, Cole slaw, and green beans, so please bring your appetites!
The evening will be taped and made available for those unable to attend.
